Microsoft Excel
When working in a
spreadsheet, have you entered so much data that the column names
disappear? There is a way to keep those headings visible, it's
called freezing panes.
To freeze a row of
headings:
-
Select the row
below the row you want to freeze.
-
On the Window
menu, select Freeze Panes.
Try it, you'll
love the results!
Note: To
"unfreeze" panes, click Window and Unfreeze Panes.
Microsoft Word
Shortcut keys! In
order to move quickly through a document you can use shortcut keys
via the keyboard.
Try this:
-
Use the Home
key on the keyboard to move to the beginning of a line, use the End
key to go to the end of a line.
-
Choose Ctrl+the
right arrow key to move one word to the right and Ctrl+the
left arrow key will take you one word to the left.
Great timesaving
keys!
